Another great time at Ganesh Dosa! They have two picnic tables outside and a couple of small table and chairs inside. Restroom is located in the breezeway next door. Chase made the dosas and dosas were perfect. We missed saying hello to Pablo and Moi! Thank you and we will be back for sure. Mahalo, Jai Guru Mai, Many thanks!!

My first time have a dosa and I was missing out! The crepe was so crispy with a good texture, and I loved the ingredients inside! I got the chefs recommendation and the chef didn't fool me lol. Best to eat it fresh there - the half I ate at the restaurant definitely tasted better than the other half I had after being in the air fryer at home. It also came with a sambar (lentil soup) that had all the delicious spices in it. So hearty and healthy. The service was great. The ladies behind the counter were very nice. There's a part of the Kailua square so you can either park at the parking lot or use street parking. It's on the side where the parking lot is near cinnamons.

Was pleasantly surprised by Ganesh Dosa. The dosa was great and didn't leave me feeling weighed down. The dosa could be thinner for a crisper texture, and the coconut chutney could use a boost in flavor, but overall, it's a satisfying meal. The staff is accommodating and friendly, and the spice level adds an enjoyable kick to the experience.

Very delicious! This was my first time trying the food here, and I loved it. It was so tasty and fresh! I ordered the Full Belly Dosa. It's a thin savory crepe made with potato masala, goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, and avocado. It comes with a bowl of Sambar Soup and a side order of either coconut or tomato chutney. I chose coconut. The soup is made of lentils and vegetables and is very delicious. It's a $20 meal but a meal for two unless you are very hungry. The menu has both savory and sweet so next time I visit I'll try something sweet. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Also a very friendly atmosphere. Service is quick and you can even watch your dosa being made. Definitely a thumbs up

Fantastic place for dosas. Not much seating but there are a few tables outside. The dosas filling is well spiced but def not spicy. Love the side broth that comes with the dosas.

I have loved ganesh dosa for a couple years so this is a long overdue review. I live near the airport and I will literally drive to Kailua just to taste this amazing dosa. Every friend I have brought here has also been equally obsessed with it. Such simple ingredients that make a perfect lunch. The portion is quite generous and I love the lentil soup it comes with. I have tried most of the combinations and honestly you can't go wrong with any of them. I prefer the coconut chutney with all too! The staff has always been friendly and are great at explaining to people (like me) what a dosa is. Hawaii lacks some indian food so I don't think many people would know what this is and what they are missing out on since they wouldn't look up a dosa. But trust me, this is truly a 10/10 meal.

As a person of Indian descent, I will admit I had my doubts and thought this may be a "watered down" western experience of a true Indian dosa. Not so! I was glad to be proven wrong. All of the Indian flavors were there, although they weren't as intense as those in India. I find this very good because I didn't leave feeling bloated or greasy. Negative one star: didn't like the olives in the chef's special (just didn't go well in my opinion, although the rest of the ingredients in the dosa were on point!) and for not serving both the tomato and coconut chutneys with each dosa; thankfully each dosa order already came with sambar. We had to pick one chutney or the other, and authentically speaking there are usually three chutneys and a sambar per dosa order. I believe asking for an extra chutney came at a cost, but they gave us an extra on the house. Staff were very nice and I overheard them explaining and encouraging first timers, so I thought that was pleasant. Ambiance was clean and simple which was great. Will definitely go back to get my dosa fix.

A small and unassuming establishment when viewed from the parking lot. They are located makai or to the right of manoa chocolate. Run by a husband and wife who are always ard at work behind the counter. Food is very flavorful, filling and healthy. At first glance a dosa order wirh side may seem small, however, it is quite filling. I usually order a full belly and the combo of goat cheese, spinach potato and other toppings with the fermented wrap is very savory. The crunchy texture of the golden dosa perfectly contrasts with the fillings and the sambar soup. Ambiance is a casual sit down atmosphere with low tables, outside bench seating and high top running along the wall. Doors are sliding glass like a house which is different. I always leave full, with a full belly, (pun) and feel good the rest of the day with no stomach ache or indigestion. If you aren't uses to lentils or fermented beans, etc ir have a sensitive stomach. You may want to take some beano, but if you eat legumes regularly you should be fine.

Ganesh Dosa is a gem in Kailua that offers unique, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free food that you don't find often in Hawaii! This was actually my frist time trying a dosa. A dosa is made from a fermented batter of ground black lentils and rice- think Southeast Asian Crepe. I came by after shopping at the Sunday market nearby- one of the vendors I was shopping at was enjoying their Chef's recommendation dosa ($19) with potato masala, mozzarella cheese, tomato, avocado, olives. I decided to go all in and ordered the "Full Belly" dosa for $20 and a refreshing mango lassi for $7. The full belly dosa was made with potato masala, goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, avocado. If you know me, if there's something on the menu with goat cheese- I'm going to try it. The dosa came with sambar soup made with lentils and vegetables, that was great to dip the dosa in and slurp on the side. You also get a chutney- offering a choice between coconut or tomato chutney. I opted for the coconut chutney, since it is the spicier option. It didn't disappoint - the perfect blend of creamy and fiery, complementing the dosa in every bite. I don't have any dietary restrictions but it's heartening to see a restaurant not just accommodate but celebrate dietary preferences.

Another delicious and filling meal @ GD! Came today from town for their Halloween special: order a Nutella Dosa ($9) and you get a free chai tea - perfect for a rainy "colder" day in Hawaii. What a treat! Nutella Dosa reminded me of an Indian version of a Kinder Bueno bar since there's the crunch from the dosa and creamy Nutella inside. Just with a slight tang from the fresh dosa batter. Not for everyone, but we really enjoyed it. Recommend as a dessert option if you're wanting to share. Full Belly Dosa ($18) never disappoints! We always order that when we come. Fast and friendly service. GD has our continued support, we come to Kailua especially for these dosas sometimes :)
